That school bus sure didn’t seem to slow down much for the speeding police car (couldn’t tell if they had their lights on). Good work by the Mounties though.

Fetanyl is bad news for morons. It’s a time released patch. So a single patch is often like 72 ‘doses’. 72 oxy at once and you’re gonna have a bad time. Or you’re a drummer.

Heroin dealers have been cutting with fentanyl, and users have been taking their usual doses, not realizing their heroin was cut with something a hell of a lot stronger.
What was wrong with baking soda? Bad business to kill the customer.

I figured they were Spiking it since fetanyl is already so concentrated. Regular H isn’t enough so they add more. The problem is that it’s an inexact science when done by amateurs. So one spiked dose could be wildly different than the next.

Dealers are cutting, not the users, unfortunately.
It’s a terrifying (26 ODs in a few hours, you can nearly pinpoint when the bad batch went on sale in town) and well done article, and pretty much validates the RCMP decision to issue naloxone to their officers.

Huntington, WV...my hometown! It’s actually not a terrible town. There is a pretty decent college there and the town is starting to get a variety of entertainment, but man there is a whole lot of stupid that goes on there.
